whats wrong with my laptop? - fatalist i dont know whats wrong with it, the screen just turns off and on and its not the harddrive or battery or power cord can someone help its just the screen not the whole laptop

Best Answer: The connection from the motherboard to the screen is most likely loose, all you need to do is open up the laptop and make sure its plugged in. (opening the laptop WILL void any warranties) Another possibility is the inverter is going bad, in that case you need a new screen. - cmputrgk

either a power option is set to turn off the screen soon after inactivity, or the display cable is loose/worn. - Eric

Might be a power options setting. Click start, control panel, power options. - zqert988
