i want to install a flip down tv in my car but my roof is to thin? - Pyro i want to put an tv up there for my kids to watch but the roof is to thin.. can i put a board there or what???

Best Answer: Your roof is not too thin, you could bolt a TV mount to it. The bolts would bust thru tho. Maybe you could glue a board to the headliner. Then it would be sweet nothings. - Yukon C

The headliner board with a 1/4" board will support it no problem, you just need to be handy at cutting the right size hole. Also, the unit goes with the vehicle when you sell it. This is why over-the-headset units are prefered for easy removal. - sparky3489

1/4 wood or the metal plate that comes with the tv but you don't have to cut a big hole , just enought to run the cables good luck - conejote_99
