Santana How OLD do you have to be to sign a contract and buy a sprint phone? - Santana well i want to go to the sprint store and buy a phone but im only 16 is that to young and will i need an adult to come with me?
Best Answer: In order to enter into a wireless service contract, you need to be 18-years old. You also need to have an established credit history and a valid US Social Security number, or you may be required to pay a security deposit of several hundred dollars. Prepaid service would be an option for you without an adult, but if you want to do a contract, the only way you will be able to purchase one will be to have someone over 18 willing to activate service in his/her name and be ultimately responsible for the bill. If your parents are not willing, you could try grandparents, other relatives, etc, and see if anyone would be willing to activate the plan under their name/social security number. You can have the bill sent wherever you want... so if a relative who doesn't live with you is willing to activate it for you, you can still have the bill sent to your house. - jared54956

the only thing you can get is a prepaid phone without having to get someone else to sign the contract for you. - Daniel
