Question and Answers

Can I use my MacBook Pro as a gaming monitor? - How can I connect my X Box 360 to my MacBook Pro and play games using my MacBook as a monitor? Is it possible?
Best Answer: You cannot directly connect your XBox 360 to your Macbook Pro to use the laptop as a monitor. The Macbook pro has no built-in port that can accept a video signal from an outside source. You can use a USB or Firewire TV tuner / capture card to allow your Macbook to receive a video signal from your XBox 360, but the resolution will be crap and you will get lags that will make games unplayable. You will be better off spending the money on a cheap LCD monitor instead, which can be hooked up to your XBox 360 using the Microsoft XBox HDAV VGA cable. - aviatingamateur
