Best Answer: I suspect the lvds cable is your problem. I've seen it many times. This is the cable that goes from the main board to the t-con on the back of the panel. Sometimes this cable needs to be disconnected and reinstalled. On some Samsung the cable is defective and a new one is needed. The main is the one that has all the input jacks (on most models) and the t-con is under a metal shield usually located in the center top (sometimes on the bottom) of the panel. The lvds is usually consisting of several wires twisted together, or a flat Flexible cable. the ends usually have release buttons on the connector to remove and reinstall. sometimes just touching this cable will make the picture go from bad to good. Unplug the tv when removing the cable ends. - megan n
