Question and Answers

Tito's Pin-Up Hi is it true the bigger your HDTV is, the more it will have a bad picture? - Tito's Pin-Up Hi I have 2 HDTV's. 1st is a 37"Philips HDTV/LCD 720P 60Hz & the 2nd is a 52"Sony Bravia HDTV/LCD 1080P 120Hz. When I play my Xbox 360 games or PS3 games, the picture look like if I was watching it on 620P & I did calibrate my 52"Sony HDTV except my 37"Philips HDTV. Does anyone have the same problem? Thank you. Note: Yes I did display 1080P on my Xbox 360 Elite console & PS3 console.
Best Answer: It is a simple math problem. If you divide 720 by 37 you get 19.45 lines of resolution. If you do the same with 1080 divided by 52 you get 20.76 lines of resolution per inch, a difference of 1.31 better on the 52 inch but not enough to be noticeable. Specially if you seat at the same distance in both of the TV. A rule of thumb is to seat 3 times the distance of the diagonal measurement of the TV. Then you will be happy. - Yopiedrota
