How come these newer monitors are so much brighter than the older ones? - BabyGirl7lbs12ounces!! : ) I just hooked this one up & It's enough light to read by almost. (If'n I could read of course). no matter how much i adjust the contrast & brightness it's still sooooooooo light. Are they all this way? It's flat, Does that mean it's a LCD or what ever ??

yes all the new ones are going to be like that, the settings should help but if they dont then you need to try tilting the screen forward or back until its what you want.. kind of like a labtop adjusting so you can see it. - shannon
