Question and Answers

Is Reducing the hz bad for the Monitor? - My Benq 24ยจ screen is recommended to be used at 75hz, Although when I run COD4 on 75, the FPS jumps from time to time, This is very annoying, But when I set my settings to 60hz the FPS is much more smooth. Although is this bad for the monitor? Reducing the recommended Hz? Thanks! :D
Best Answer: No, it is not bad for the monitor. Setting the refresh rate (Hz) HIGHER than the monitor can handle can damage the monitor. Virtually all monitors will handle the 60Hz refresh rate. - Beach Bum Daddy
