audio advice needed about an amp? - elmoe i have a power acustic ps2 2200 amp that i'm trying to fix as you may know they are expensive and i'm having trouble out of it so i'm trying to find a schematic for it so i can diagnosis it can anyone help me find one tell me where i can get it or a link anything

Best Answer: Odinsrage, there is not an amp maker that does publish their schematics. Doing that is not the smartest thing to do. They do however tell you about their boards that they use though. The other thing is this the ps2 2200, where does it say that it gives you 2200 watts rms. It does not. This is a EXTREMELY normal mistake that you always make Odins, all the time. Learn about the company before you say anything bad about them. PS2 2200 is the MODEL NAME, which happens to be the peak wattage. 1000 watts is the rms wattage. Not to mention, a week ago, I had my Power Acoustik BAMF 5500/1 tested, it sure enough gives me 3200 watts rms @ 1 OHM. Imagine that one. - georgewillings

Not worth it.. they are not expensive amps, power acoustik is a cheap flea market brand. They are unreliable. It will break again. Please listen, just ditch it and buy a quality amp that will last forever. Power acoustik amps have totally fake power numbers, too. That amp doesnt even do 1000 watts, let alone 2200 And this amp can be found for 150 dollars... you get what you pay for, just buy a REAL amp. Power acoustik doesnt publish schematics because they are a flea market company that makes throw-away amps. Let this be a lesson to all of you thinking about buying these cheap amps---you get what you pay for. Its going to cost you more to fix or replace your unreliable amp, when you could have just bought a GOOD one in the first place. George, please stop answering, you are clueless. Most of your answers are wrong! Plus, you LIE! That amp cannot possibly make over 3000 watts RMS! Im looking at a picture of the internals now.. no way in hell. Sorry! Why would you lie about your amp? Do you feel bad you bought a flea market amp? Plus, a stock alternator on your infinity would NEVER support a 3000 watt RMS amp Your cheap PA amp has 200 amps of fusing. Even if it was 100 percent efficient and you could somehow give it 200 amps, it would only make 2880 watts. That amp has been benched on the forums anywhere from 1700-2000 watts RMS.
