Question and Answers

Justin how can i tell if my sound system amp is broken? - Justin how can you know if your amp is fried or broken? any visible ways of checking or something? my fuses are not blown, and the wiring is fine. it could just be my ground wire not connected the circuit, but if you could let me know how to check my amp to see if something in it had blown i would appreciate it thanks.
Best Answer: Make sure you have a signal going to the amp. You'll know if your ground is correct because the amp should have some sort of ON light. make sure whatever speakers you are testing it with work and the wires are good. You can visually inspect the internal components and look for any burnt resistors or blown capacitors. If it smells burnt then it might be burnt. If all else fails, take it to your local stereo shop. They will be able to bench test it to see if it works or not. - LyncHung
