Question and Answers

How Exactly does laser printer work?? - How exactly Does laser printer work?????
Best Answer: Laser printers work by using a laser to draw an image on an electrostatic film. This creates a static charge on the film in the shape of the drawn image. Toner, a dry powder pigment, is given an opposite static charge and rolled across the film. The opposite charge forces it to adhere, forming a toner image. The toner image is then rolled over a piece of paper. The charge is reversed, causing the toner image to adhere to the paper. The paper then rolls through a heating element which fuses the toner to the paper permanently. Color laser printers work in the exact same way, but they use multiple colors of toner, with a separate laser and electrostatic film for each. Typically, the colors used are black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. All other colors are made by mixing these four pigments. - marbledog
