Marco L Is there an application for Windows 7 that measures the computer temperature? - Marco L I've been having some overheating issues with my laptop, and I recently bought a notebook cooler. I don't know whether it'll be effective enough, but I don't know how to check if it is. Besides physically feeling the underside with my hands, is there a way (perhaps an app?) to check the temperature?
Best Answer: I use HWmonitor. It is from the same people that make CPU-Z http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php -
Hmm, your computer shouldn't be overheating like that, even if you're using it on your lap. Make sure you're not blocking the air intake when you use it. Also, look for the air intake duct and the output duct and spray some compressed in there. If there's dust clogging your processor's heat sink then it'll overheat. If you just bought your computer, I'd recommend taking it in and finding out why it's overheating, or at least get them to clean out any dust that may be in there. - Minimarkoman
