brittany r downloading cd it dont see I have a blank disk in it but i do? - brittany r I am trying to burn a cd through windows media and i put a blank CD R in but its not showing that I have a CD in so its not burning.. anyone know how? thanks
Best Answer: The CD could just be bad or maybe it semi-burned it before and now it is unusable. Sometimes I have accidentally picked up a CD I thought was blank but it was not. Also: I hate windows media player. Try iTunes for burning: simple. -
My (Vista) PC has done that on occasion and usually just trying a different disk will work. There is nothing wrong with the PC but at times it's just picky about which disk it will see. I've never checked it or bothered to call support but I have had that problem before so just try a couple of different disk's and see if that works. - Iknowthisone
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060 download the fix. should fix the problem - Servette
did you move the songs you want to burn over to the area to burn? and did you click burn from the top selection? When you downloaded the songs did any of them have copy rights? those will not copy/burn on windows media. Did you put the cd in shinny side down? and is it in a writer or burner on your computer? - Rose11
