Question and Answers

I need to get a new PSU for a Pluxus WBR-T2 router. The old one was rated 12V/1.5A - would a 12V/1A PSU be OK? - I can't find a power supply rated exactly the same as the old one of 12V, 1.5A current. I have one that is rated at the same voltage, but the current is only 1A. Is it likely that a router would require the full 1.5A current?
Best Answer: No it would overheat and burn out or burn the house down. Nobody supplies a PSU that is over rated due to cost, if the original is 1.5A then you need a 1.5A replacement. - ALAN T
