Cruz ☮ -AFC What is more cost effective, Ink Jet or Laser Jet Printer? - Cruz ☮ -AFC Ink Jet or Laser Jet: Which uses up more ink? And which uses cheaper ink? Thanks!
Best Answer: Laser printers are more expensive than inkjet printers. That is the printer machine only. Inkjet printers use a lot more ink than laser printers. Inkjet ink is cheaper, but the cost per page is a lot higher than laser prints. That is because laser toner cartridges have a higher estimated pages per cartridge. If you are going to use the printer for a while, get a laser printer. It will save you lots of money in the long run. - Calcium Chloride
I thinks Ink Jet(Cannon) is best choice for you.
If you do any quantity of printing and dont need scanning/copying or photos, a monochrome laser will be faster, sharper and cheaper than an inkjet. I bought a Brother HL2040 at least 3 years ago for $50. In all that time, all I ever needed was toner which I bought off ebay for $6. Each bottle is good for about 3,000 pages. But if you need photos, scanning/copying you can get an Epson NX100 for about $30 or an even better Workforce 500 for about $60 which also does faxing and has a sheet feeder. I have the WF 500. It prints slower than a laser. Ink is $3 a cartridge and each one is only good for about 300 pages. But I get 11 free every month at http://www.ccs-digital.com/freeink.asp The printer you should get depends upon your requirements.
It's depend how much printout per day u want. if u need 1 -3 printout per day then Ink jet will be better else laser will be better. For home purpose ink jet will be preferred coz u can fill be bu yourself ... - cybock911
