If I buy an XBOX live card in Canada, will it work in the US? - Anonymous Esophagus If I buy an XBOX live card in Canada, will it work in the US? I was told the codes were different, however, I was also told it was possible because they did it.. Is it just the points that you can't use in a different country than you bought, or...? Help. Best Answer: Xbox Live will work; those codes aren't tied to any region or country. Microsoft Points cards won't work; those are region-specific. -

Yes it wil I have a xbox and gamertag from the us and when I moved to canada I bought a membership code 12 month and it worked but the microsoft points don't work they only work on canadian gamertags so if you did buy a microsoft card you should create a canadian gamertag and redeem it on your canadian gamertag Best Answer is appreciated - gamer1xbox360
