USB port problem...? -
joeb
Hey, I have an IBM NetVista 8305-PCU. It has XP Pro, 512 MB of RAM, a 2.24Ghz CPU. It came with no OS preloaded, so I got XP pro and installed it. at first, the Audio driver didn't work, and the Monitor was set at VGA res with 256 colors. It didn't show any other settings in the control panel. The ethernet didn't work either. I went to the IBM (now lenovo) support site and found the driver downloads that were closest to what I needed, and got the onboard graphics to work, as well as the audio card. I installed a different ethernet card.
now I have the computer wirelessly networked by way of a USB adapter, and have found that out of the computer's 6 USB ports, only one works at a time. they all work, just not together. If I have something plugged into one, the others don't work, and vice versa. It's really annoying, I have looked through all the downloadable drivers on the web site, but I can't find one. I thought maybe it was a power problem or something? Help!
