Question and Answers

gwmacosx Will we ever see a new version for OS X? - gwmacosx We Mac users were extremely appreciative when you released beta 1 for OS X last year. This excitement has now turned into exasperation. It amazes me that a company as rich and as large as Yahoo only hired 2 Mac developers for this project. One of the developers, Tristan O'Tierney, recently quit out of frustration. Apple has made a huge comeback and bu some estimates is around 15% of the home computer market after you subtract business PC's. With the iPhone, new iPods, and the release of OS X 5 this trend will continue. Yahoo, enough is enough. You have the money, go out and spend the money to hire enough developers to restart the stagnant OS X messenger. And if by some miracle you are listening, don't give us a version with half the features. We want photo sharing, voice, VoiP, real video conferencing, and all the other goodies long available on the Windows version. An update to let us know what is happening would also be appreciated. Will we ever see beta 2 or a final release?
Best Answer: Yahoo is not listening to us! It seems most of their programmers are busy working on Vista and other high-hype projects. O'Tierney never got to release the software he'd written... If it wasn't for Yahoo! answers, I'd have no use for Yahoo! The Instant Mess for OS X is a waste of electrons! (I use http://adiumx.com instead) - jake cigarâ„¢ is retired
I agree. I watch yahoo videos to have the ads play fine on osx, but have the video give an error. Yahoo will also probably delete this question as they did with mine. - michael p
