john c What do you reckon my PC is worth? - john c Hi there, I'm thinking of getting a new rig possibly to play ET:QW, just curious to know how much you think i could sell my rig for? I reckon maybe $550-650?? Athlon AMD 3500xp Winchester 2200MHz CPU ATI Radeon x800Pro GFX Corsair 1gig 3200XL RAM Asus A8V Deluxe Motherboard COLORS IT 500w PSU NEC 3520A DVD burner 250 gig hard drive COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW Advent aluminium keyboard Razer diamondback gaming mouse IIyama Vision Master Pro 454 19" CRT
Best Answer: With it lacking a dual core CPU and being "custom", you'd be lucky to get $400 for the setup. That's the sad reality of building your own PC. The majority of people (99%) would rather buy a used Dell/HP/etc. (gag) than a well put together PC. You'd probably be better off finding a Dell/HP case and doing a transplant, keeping the Centurion for your next build. Not to mention at $500+ you can get dual core budget combos from the retail chains with a gig+ of RAM, 250gb+ hd, LCD monitor, etc. - Izzy S

I would say around $500 - $575. This is because of the CRT and not a lot of people trust AMD. The burner is a nice touch and the 250 GB Hard drive is a lot of space. - smartguy
Sounds good but the CRT will let you down. Most people expect TFT these days - jimobasa
