Best Answer: The VU42LF was a good deal at $999 (with $200 coupon) at Costco. High-Def Image quality is excellent. Analog 480i standard varies based on signal. Some channels look almost high def, with some going to the other extreme and looking blotchy - but most are watchable. The built-in tuner did a great job of finding both analog and digital channels. Sound quality from built-in speakers is also surprisingly good. At just under 50 pounds wall mounting was a breeze. Complaints (well, minor gripes): S-video input is only on side of unit, not back. Volume line-out to stereo is not variable. Should have included a 2nd tuner for PIP at the channel level. - Rasta Son

r u crazy you are comparing 3 different vizio models. dude vizio really sucks . they are a 3rd rate tv company. they have only been around for a few years and use cheap qality electronic parts. why do you think they are so cheap. when it comes to electronics , cheap really does mean cheap. there is too much competion in this elctronic world for manufacturers to over charge you. you get what you pay for. its that simple. thats why sony cost more not just for the name. but for the attention to detail and quality they put into it. you are not geting a deal when you buy vizio , you are getting a cheap piece of crap. - vjjohn79
