hayley What is allied telesis gigabit ethernet? - hayley it says on my computer that i have a second internet connection that is allied telesis gigabit ethernet what is this?

Well, basically it uses low cost ethernet and as the name implies it transmits 1 gigabit (1000 megabits a second) A gigabit contains less data then a gigabyte. It's not new, it's actually been around for quite a while. You should be able to Google it and find alot of info on it. - engineer_retired
It should be a network card if your computer has one. If you have a desktop you may have two network cards or probably a laptop with wireless and an ethernet port.
