Best Answer: 1st I check ur processor in the ne " Dual Core 1.8 (E2160)" and your motherboard " MSI945GCM5 V2 Mother board" here's the RULE OF THE THUMB when your overclock: the ratio of temperature to your normal clocking "your unoverclock processor" should always be in the 65% it means that if you have a processor that has a threshold temperature of 60 degree celsius .. your overclocking should always be at 45-50 degree celsius tops... i have checked your processor in this link http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sspec=sla3h and you have a threshold of 61.4 degree celsius so it means that after you have overclocked your CPU frequency to (234x9) did it reach the tempeature? 50 degree celsius? already.. if it still not.. then I am confident that your processor can still hold some overclocking maybe up to (234x12) now for the motherboard issue... here's the link http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=945GCM5-F_V2&class=mb from here, i must ask you, are you a freak when it comes to overclocking your RIG? coz i must say, your choice of specs is wheey to low :( anyway, your motherboard is fine.. but i must say, this is not the type of RIG you want to buy, if you want some extreme overclocking here are 4 fans 1in the GPU 1in the CPU 1in the Power Supply 1in the Casing(i think temps are good) LOL... i can say, with your type of casing, plus analyzing your motherboard.. you are not even using a cooling system for your heatsink.. what you are saying there "4 FANS" is the normal rig to CPU, but what you want to do is to exhaust all the possibilty to overclock your PC up to it's limitation right? so I suggest.. the best way is open your casing.. or Put some holes to it then blow it with a non-conductive air (modified electric fan) LOL .. i am serious (well you will do that, coz that's the cheapest way.. unless you want to spend 1.5 grand on changing your motherboard and casing.. with a non-conductive cooling system but nevertheless, what I am saying here is, yes YOU CAN ALWAYS overclock your PC.. it just depends on what cooling system you are using... anyway, another TIP .. if the CPU crashes, on first 1 minute... quickly restart your PC, and even the screen is BLACK .. press delete (FOR CMOS) and press f10, that will restore your FAIL-SAFE.. then press enter ... okiez.. you can email me 4 more question vlodia_cannon@yahoo.com LOL.. enjoy , clockin - vlodia
