Patrick How many AMP's to run an Audiobahn A8000V Car Audio Amplifier in home? - Patrick I have an Audiobahn A8000V Amplifier: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6986_Audiobahn+A8000V.html With One AW1200V 12" Sub: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-PhhCHgMUaBC/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?I=037AW1200V&search=AW1200V I am wanting to run this in my house with this power supply: http://radioproshop.com/pyramid-ps/ps36kx.htm I am not sure how to calculate how many amps needed from a power supply for the setup. What would I need to get this setup working correctly, and most importantly, SAFELY Thanks in advance!
Best Answer: Whoa. That power supply is way more than you need. 10 amps is more than you need so try to find something in that power range. It will cost you less money and work just as well. Your actual draw will be less than 8 amps at peak and usually it will be far less, but it's always good to have a little headroom. - Earth: The Connected Home
