Can not get my resolution back to 1600x1200? - comms4 My work computer used to be at 1600x1200 resolution. Then on a restart it left my screen at 1280x1024 and it can not slide further than that. Listed below are my specs. I've gone to Dell and View Sonic for drivers and have installed them. Yet my color quality is on the only option of "Highest (32 bit)" and does not show "True Color" as I want. I believe getting it back to True Color will allow my resolution to return to 1600x1200 but I have been unsuccessful using a variety of drivers to arrive at it. Any assistance would be appreciated. SPECS: Dell Desktop ATI RAGE 128 ULTRA Graphics Card ViewSonic VA1912w Series Monitor 1280x1024 Resolution (wanted: 1600x1200) Color Quality: Highest (32 bit) (wanted: True Color 16k)

Best Answer: Right click on the desktop,You will find properties.In the settings tab you will find ready screen resolution options.Just choose the option you want. - tipu61

I think if you try to use the CD that came with it, you should be fine. Ofcourse, if its the work computer, you might not have it. If you have downloaded the drivers already there not much I can suggest, you can try the Dell Support Centre, or even better, the free online chat. I have a Dell myself and they solve most of my problems. Sounds like your driver must have changed. If you are running XP you could try a system restore to a date prior to your issue. - J M
