TomTom Problems? - libs. We have a TomTom 1 (UK and Eire) third edition. It works a treat to get you from one place to another. However, I was flicking through the sections under 'Help Me!' e.g. nearest doctor, dentist etc. For most of these, the TomTom seems to think that we are in Eire. I've tried to reset our home address, which didn't work. I thought about restoring the factory settings, but I don't want to lose the saved locations! Can anyone help me? Do you know if this is a common fault? Will I have to contact TomTom and get a new one? :) thanks.

Best Answer: Hiya,i have the same Tom Tom and like you said its a real treat.But sometimes it does seem to have a mind of its own and will give you the same route or directions no matter how many times you try.Whatever you do dont mess with the factory settings.The best thing would be to download the software which comes with it and exclude Eire at least for the moment,but that's only a last resort,dont give up on trying with the same for the moment.
