anthony v Epson Perfection 1670 Scanner? - anthony v I have a small very old photo that I would like to restore. Does anyone know how I can enlarge this photo using the scanner? I would like to do the enlargement from the scanner before I do the restoration work in Photoshop CS.
Best Answer: Epson likes to use its program Epson Scan. Use this program. Start the scon and change the mode to Professional mode. There may be an input output ratio, you can change it that way or you can up the dpi. Default is 300 dpi but most scanners can go as high as 800dpi which will force the picture to a larger size. If you want it to print larger, the easiest way is to place this 800 or 600 dpi pcture and insert it into a Word document to bring it up to size. another note: If it is a small, do a preview scan first and use the selection tool to scan only portions of the scanning deck. By going big on the dpi this photo will save larger. - Richard W
You should scan as is and than resize it in Photoshop.or the Epson software . Don't enlarge too much. Don't import into a word document. Keep it in a graphic editing software of choice. Try not to use jpeg or bmp. Use the adobe format or tiff when saving the file and printed out in those formats. Use the sharpen tool for detail restortation. - punchie
you can used widows scanner and fax wizard to scan you photo and increase resolution from there - good_and_crazy
