Best Answer: well the only pc specs u've included are that it's a P4 1.7 GhZ socket 478,,, gateway doesn't make cpu's it's an intel,, and it's OK,,, it's using AGP video by default which isn't the greatest or latest,,, heat spreaders on the RAM is nice but the RAM is old as well and it's going to get hot,, and 512Mb won't run any nice games,, u probably can't upgrade to much further on that board either,,, the hard drive won't be as fast and the cable won't promote good internal cooling because IDE cables are the flat wide ones that share the same bandwidth when attaching a slave device which it is out of the CD or DVD which if either are slow will be the bottle neck in ur hard drive when running simultaneously such as how games run from CD,,, u most likely have no use for a floppy and that will be the source for bottle necking anything attached to the second IDE controller, u have no use for a fax modem unless ur faxing documents,, the 100M lan card is pointless without a 100 M connection which most home providers aren't giving, more like a shared 10Mb and if isn't autonegotiate then it will cause issues, the sound card is the mediocare norm,, that Power supply will most likely need an upgrade if u want to add extra devices,, and an ATX case is an ATX case,, more or less no it's not a good gaming PC - rainofkayos
For Gaming PC you should have p4 extreame edition cpu with 4gb ddr3 ram. with separate AGP card with atleast 1 gb v ram - Saroja
