bdwashi08 Better laptop for "light" gaming? - bdwashi08 Now, when I say "light" gaming I mean like Battlefiled 2142, COD 4, and others around those same lines for only like a few hours a day & maybe if I can squeeze out Crysis that would be a plus.. Photoshop will also be installed on the computer since I am going to school for graphic design. Any help is thankful! Best Answer: The DELL is a VERY good choice. I'm actually buying that one because I want to game and have Photoshop installed on mine as well. =) *i asked a question similar to this one and a guy gave me really great advice; read my question if you want =)* *Alienwares are very exspensive for just light gaming* - ixiblix
The Dell would be great. It could pull off Battlefield and COD4 on max, and Crysis on pretty high settings Both of those are nice computers. - PirateSmack
It doesn't matter if you're a light gamer or a hardcore game, if you want games to run with playable performance, you need a good computer to run them (particularly for newer games like CoD4). Neither of those computers have a particularly great graphics card, althouth the 8800 is better than the 8600. However, if you really HAVE to get one of those two, get the Dell. I hate Dell, but Gateway is far, far worse. - Goffik
Dell and Alienware are risky choices for the type of gaming you are doing choose a IBM laptop or HP Desktop they are more reliable if Apple's Mac computers supported larger varieties of PC software I would have a mac now but they don't. So stick with a PC. - BizKid
The Dell in my opinion is the best computer, but the graphics card lacks. Find some manuals online how to install and new video card. You will need to buy a 512mb one to play COD4 properly - Cameron S :D
i would go with* Alienware* if i were you~!!! - joeanimal
