thomast45 Install scanner with Vista? - thomast45 I HAVE A HP SCANJET 4670 . I USE THIS SINCE IT WILL SCAN IN NEGATIVES AND COLOR SLIDES. IT WORKED FINE WITH WINDOWS. I BOUGHT A NEW HP PRESARIO WITH VISTA(BIG MISTAKE).THE SCANJET HAS TWO INSTALLATION CD'S. I INSERT CD1 AND STARTS TO RUN. IT STOPS AND TELLS ME IT CANNOT COMPLETE INSTALLATION . I MUST LOG ON AS USER WITH ADMINSTRATOR PRIVILIDGES. I AM THE ADMINSTRATOR. I AM LOGGED ON WITH PASS WORD. WHY WILL IT NOT ALLOW ME TO INSTALL THIS SCANNER? MICROSOFT WILL NOT HELP AS VISTA CAME WITH THE HP PC. HP IS LOST IN OUTER SPACE. THEY SENT ME THE SAME ANSWER FOUR TIMES. THAT IS TO LOG IN AS ADMINSTRATOR. THEY DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH AS I TOLD THEM FOUR TIMES I AM LOGGED ON AS ADMINSTRATOR. I AM AT MY WITS END. I HAVE DOWNLOADED THE NEW DRIVER FOR VISTA. THIS SCANNER WAS FINE WITH WINDOWS. IT WILL NOT INSTALL WITH VISTA. BOTH ARE HP BUT WILL NOT WORK WITH EACH OTHER. HELP.
