Ask2007 Backup Preloaded Programs? - Ask2007 I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre A60/9269/A19. It comes with a preloaded software package that includes Windows XP and other essential softwares. I used the Think Vantage program to create a Recovery CD. I have purchased a new Hard Disk. However, I cannot use the Recovery CD to recover the basic programs. I need to have the preloaded programs installed in a partitioned section of my new hard disk in order to install the Windows XP and other essential programs. How do I backup a copy of the "preloaded" programs WITHOUT copying the entire 'C:\" drive files and data. PS: I am unable to see the preload section of the partition in my hard disk. I think it is protected. Please advise. Thanks
Best Answer: You can install your new hard drive as a secondary hard drive, then you have your new AND old ones with access to BOTH!!! If you need more help, such as installing the hard drive, message me and I can give more information. - bigbadwolfe3204
