P2P applications for Vista... I am going insane!! help?? - *auschik* I am not brilliant with computers so I get confused by too much of the jargon. But I am getting ever so frustrated not being able to find a Windows Vista Compatible free P2P application. I tried getting Ares which wasn't connecting in search and what not and all the links for Limewire Basic were blocked by Trend Micro. I would love to have Areas Vista but you have to pay for it so maybe there is a crack? Where do I get one? If not, what is a good free P2P program I can get? I just want to use it to get music and maybe a few movies. Thanks in advance for anything you can suggest!

Best Answer: Ares is free (they will never charge) any other version could be spy ware - anyways I know your problem and I use Ares with my vista I just about gave up with it I tried uninstall reinstall download and reinstall nothing seemed to work. I gave up.... went on about my business and forgot it was on, needless to say it finally connected and now I am able to connect whenever I want to and it takes little or no time at all - good luck dont give up on it just let it run for awhile and go do something else it should connect eventually - wolfprintFX
