What is wrong with my Epson stylus cx6000 printer? - stealthDJreturns I bought new ink cartridges yesterday and installed them correctly. Now, my printer is acting weird. It used to print fine, but now, red prints as yellow, and black prints with streaks, or it just prints as a blue outline. I believe it is the printers fault, and I've done everything to fix it, but I don't know what's wrong.

Best Answer: Your magenta is not working. It's either: -a bad or dried out cartridge -you forgot to take the tape off the top. it covers an air hole. if air cant get in, ink cant get out -a clogged print head. Did you try running the cleaning? Your black looks like it could use some, too. If you get it working, try http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp for cheap cartridges which work well. - yisgood

The print heads are dirty or worn out. You should have a utility to clean them, or you could try to clean them manually. If they're worn out, you just get a new printer. They're not worth fixing. - Nomadd

Any and "ALL EPSON" Printers are crap they tend to clog alot an probably happened to use the percent it didnt is barley even 15 so its easier to get a new printer. Considering the cost of ink. I would find something that uses cheap ink but still prints good. - JC Denton

The only thing that could do that is if you magenta is either not installed, clogged or there is a yellow installed in the spot of the magenta. - smedrik
