Best Answer: First off if your going to build this beast you have to do it right. With quality parts that not only perform well but will also stay with you for the long haul. You are trying to build a very expensive monster here and you do not need to cut any corners. If money were an object you would probably have gone to dell.com I put together a list with what you wanted and but I edited just a little to try and help you out a little. Here goes: (these prices are estimates not exact) Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 Yorkfield 3.0GHz - $650.00 EUR ASUS P5N64 WS PRO WiFi LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI - $285.00 EUR ASUS ENGTX280/HTDP/1G GeForce GTX 280 (x3) - $950.00 EUR (Approx $320.00 EUR each) Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1TB (x2) - $250.00 EUR (Approx $125.00 EUR each) Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB 10000 RPM - $190.00 EUR OCZ 2.5" 64GB SATA II Internal SSD - $575.00 EUR COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro 1250W (not 1500W) - $215.00 EUR SONY 4X Blu-ray DVD Burner - $350.00 EUR ASUS 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe - $22.00 EUR OCZ Reaper HPC 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 (This stuff is THE BEST) - $500.00 EUR Thermaltake ArmorPlus(Armor+) VH6000SWA (this one fits your HUGE power supply better + same look) - $155.00 EUR As for the monitor I could not get a good price for it. Dell products are iffy at best anyhow. I am putting down a great substitute for it with a name brand with the same tech specs. SAMSUNG XL30 Black 30" 6ms(GTG) Widescreen - $2900.00 EUR Total price: Around $7200.00 EUR (I just noticed you wanted GBP, sorry about that. Just use a currency converter to find the difference) I would like to ask that if you indeed put this bad boy together that you email me with any questions and/or pictures you have. This is an awesome computer and I am already jealous that your even thinking about it. Hope this helps. - Mike

If you send me a personal cheque (with guarantee number written on back) for £2850 i'l build it for you. Please also include your cash card and pin number cos you obviously got too much money and time on your hands! Get a job and stop playin games. innit! - JAMIE H
why dont you get a bfg physx card if you know what thay are - dainsmart
The question was - for answers in Pound Sterling (GBP £) so why bother quoting answers in $ idiots. Might try building a new PC soon myself - but the spec I would get would cost hmmm around about £500 I think what you are after could be higher if all components are brand new, like from high st stores - Eagle1969
hi a b, lets go over your list 2 quad is good but i would not skimp on video card so i would use a 8800gts especially for gaming the motherboard is good we already covered the video card the rest sounds good if you are going basicly for gaming don't need a lot of ram but the harddrive is important for part of the speed so i would increase you gig harddrive to at least a 60 gig that is ging away a lot of your speed but the rest is pretty good. i would guess about $650.00 and that could be high a lot of times you can find a computer show and everything is a little less expensive but if you are having it mailed that cost a lot more. good luck hope i was helpful to you - hemppy
Well, that is going to cost a damn lot lol. Pretty much every component you got is top notch, you'd be paying almost £1500 just for the graphics cards, so it's going to cost around £3000-£3500 i'd personally say. Little tip though, according to my Custom PC mag if you get a Samsung F1 1TB hard drive, it's the same speed as the VelociRaptor and a damn lot cheaper, but I guess from the other components money isn't much of an issue :p - hfd1989
that would cost no less than $6,000 (3026.48 quid). and some of that is pretty excessive, I mean 2 1tb drives and a velociraptor is enough.....but AN SSD ON TOP OF IT? you can''t put all of them in RAID 0, but the dual 1tb drive could go in that. RAID arrays need completely identical drives. and an intel core extreme? why bother? I mean it's a good processor, but $1000 for .6GHz more than the q6600? Id go with a q9300. and you don't need that many drives. the 1tb drives should be enough. unless he plans on watching a shitload of movies.....even then that would still be more than enough. I would go with the dual TB drives in RAID 0 and have the velociraptor host the OS. and add like 4 more 120mm fans to the case AND DON'T FORGET TO USE ANTISTATIC EQUIPMENT (but you probably already knew that) - der_kaiser_von_kase
around $3000 (USD), that IS a sweet setup, have you considered the Cooler Master Cosmos S? its like the best case, if money isnt a barrier. you can buy a side window seperatly for it, but even without its awesome. - ΞÅĢαѓєїα (Sagittarius)
damn, i thought i was extreme, yea u got me beat. im u probably be spending at least $3,000 probably a little more - ELDIN V
o if u wanted a cost umm i would easily say. at least 3.5k american. EASILY sounds good dude. if i may say. you dont need 8gb unless your gonna hack the pentagon but this in euros so nvm. these people are the best i know i am one of them www.computerforums.com they are quick and i guarantee they will respond within minutes and will help you far better than yahoo answers. - Ron Patton
