Blake Disable Quickplay buttons on HP Pavilion? - Blake Its so annoying because i always touch it when im typing is there a way to turn it off or something?
Best Answer: I have the same problem on my notebook. If you press the quickplay button when the computer is off, it will apparently also turn the computer on, just to load quickplay (after loading vista as well, which with Vista Home Basic, takes FOREVER). When I talked to an HP technician about it (the third one finally gave me the help I needed), they said to uninstall the quick launch buttons driver. Unfortunately, I do not think there is a way to turn it on or off depending on your mood of the day, so I wish you luck getting around the badly designed system. - sweettart4852

I think what you are talking about is the touch pad. You accedentialy press it when typing and it make the cursor jump. On HP laptops there is a button above the touchpad with a light. Press this button and it will turn off the touchpad and the light will turn orange. Press it again and it will enable the touchpad and the light will turn blue. - Thomas P
