<3 italiana <3 Printer question...can i use a printer while using a laptop? - <3 italiana <3 Just bought a bargain printer for 5 bucks (yes it does work) haha its a HP desk jet 920C. I took it home to hook it up, then realized that I don't have a place to plug it into my laptop?? (Compaq presario v2000) Can anybody help ? Am i missing a cord? I have the power cord, the big thick cord, but dont have one that goes into the other side (looks like USB?) ANYBODY? thanks!
Best Answer: The black cord is your power cord. The big, thick grey cord is probably a parallel interface cord. It looks like the connector hole to the left of the big grey cord is the USB port, this is where you want to plug in a USB cable that can connect to your laptop. This is the cord you would want to buy to use with your computer. Get a standard USB interface cable to go from your computer to the printer and you should be good to go (take off that big grey one). Best of luck. - Denver Al
Just plug in a UBS cord ...printer to laptop. plug in the power cord to the wall. Laptop will install the printer to windows. - R W
Yes, all you have to do is have the printer install CD and cords. Stick CD in laptop and click install make sure all cords are correctly plugged in. Anymore questions feel free to ask me on messanger crystal_eric_price@yahoo.com - crystal_eric_price
