Question and Answers

bb Where is the GPS antenna on the Garmin Edge 305? - bb I use a thick strap around much of the unit to attach it to my arm for running. Today it lost signal for two out of ten miles and I'm wondering if maybe I can locate the strap in a different way to avoid this happening in the future. Please include a reference for your answer if you can. Thanks!
Best Answer: GPS receivers with this form factor usually have a patch antenna mounted on the screen side of the unit, just above the screen. So on the Edge 305, just above where it says Garmin. The owner's manual suggests orienting the unit so the face points toward the sky, which likely means the unit has a patch antenna that is mounted on the screen side of the unit. - geog_nerd
