iv recently had to re install windows on my computer and i dont have sound how do i know which driver to DL.? - iluvavant4 its a emachines t5052 series..

Didnt u get any SOUND DRIVER cd with ur pc? Im sure u would have... If NO, then GOOGLE IT "emachines t5052 series install sound drivers"... Which OS do u have?..XP installs the drivers by itself. hope this works! - Wandrok

enter 'dxdiag' into the run commands to find out what your computers sound card is, if its by Realtek i will post you the link - Janchura

Check the vendor website for the proper driver. If it's a desktop and you can open it, power it down, open the case and check the video card. You should find the model number. Or you can check the invoice for the computer specs. Anyway my money is on AC '97 sound drivers. You could download those and try to install them.
