Jamezzz Vista will not recognise projector? - Jamezzz i have plugged my Sanyo PLC-SW20 projector into my MacBook and it works fine. But i need it on my desktop, and when i plug it in the projector will not recognise it. Any ideas? Im running Vista HP by the way, my computer is a Dell XPS 420 and using a 9800GT. thanks!
Best Answer: When you installed the projector did you also install the drivers it needs to run on Vista? A CD should have been included in the box, or instructions on how to download the related drivers and software from the manufacturers website. Try that and then see if it works correctly. Good luck and have a nice day. - Serenity
Are you plugged into the 9800? Installed video cards take control of the video, if you are plugged into the VGA connector that is on the motherboard then it will not work. Other thoughts are restarting, checking to make sure your source is set correctly. Does the 9800 have 2 connections? Is one the monitor and one the projector? If so is the projector set to sync to what is displayed on the monitor, you may have to go into the control panel and adjust the video for that. - hunterrose30
