Michael D My Monitor Is Blurry, But Everything Is Set Correctly? - Michael D I just hooked up an old LCD monitor (Hyundai ImageQuest L70B) to my laptop (HP Pavilion dv7), set it to the correct resolution (1280x1024) and yet the screen looks blurry - nothing is sharp, the way they are on the laptop monitor. What should be solid colors, for instance the mouse (1px black line with white fill) blurs together on the second screen with a gray outline around the black border. I took a screenshot to confirm the resolution of the second screen, and it is indeed right (1280x1024), but it looks the way it would if it were set to the wrong resolution. Any thoughts?
Best Answer: Hmmm... that is an interesting one. Try hooking your laptop up to another monitor, see if it has the same issue. Then try the monitor on another computer. Try different cables as well. That way you can isolate the issue to either the computers video output, the monitor or the cable. - Bjorn
