CCCP Wireless Router Speed Problems? - CCCP Hi, I've got a really good wireless router, it's: SMC WBR14S-N2 (UK), i've got a little USB (draft 802.11n) adapter with it. The problem is, when i click on the network connection, to check how fast it is on the right bottom of the screen (near the clock & stuff), it says that it's on 135 Mbps... even though on the box of it it says that it can run up to 300Mbps. Hence that singal strength is always excellent, because the wireless router is one of the most powerfull ones that there were in the store, this one was the fastest one for gaming and it suited me because I'm on cable connections. I bought it becauseof my PS3, and i really want it to go to the max, 300Mbps, how can I configure the speed? How could I make it be faster? Thanks in adance guys...
Best Answer: usually the maximum speed that is advertise is theoretical. In real life circumstances it would be impossible to get those speeds. i don't think that you will ever need more than 135Mbps. -
wow 300mbps.. do you really need that lol? - Bradderz
