Question and Answers

ANOTHER question about a converter box...? - I want to use my really old DVD player with my really old TV. It's a bedroom TV with no satellite receiver and I just want to use it with the DVD player. My TV doesn't have the yellow, white, and red hook-up things- just the old-fashioned co-ax kind. I know I could buy an RF modulator but I have this Zenith converter box. Can I use that instead? How would I go about doing that? As you can tell, I'm an electronics dummy.
Best Answer: If you have an old vcr that has video/ audio inputs, then you can hook up the vcr to the tv and run the video audio from dvd to the vcr inputs. Try that.. - MAK
The Zenith converter box is only for converting broadcast (antenna) digital TV channels for display on your.analog TV. To view your DVDs, you'll need to get an RF modulator. The Zenith has yellow/red/white terminals, but those are only for output to TV, not input from a DVD. If you can manage the expense ($300+), your TV life will be far simpler with a digital television. - link
