Who is good with TV'S? - Mike V The TV is flat screen MAXENT MX-26X3 what happen was I was watching tv and all of a sudden the tv went black and there's no sound or display it's just black and I look into the manual and it really didnt help me so im thinking it just over heated or something today was really hot so yea. I tried changing the channel and the input but it stills stays black so im worried about this and i cant call anyone and the warranty is over already. I need help please and thank you

Best Answer: You're sure the cable is working? I'm assuming that Maxent is some cheap department store brand. You might have gotten what you paid for. Take the thing to a friends house where the cable works and plug it in and see what happens. Then you'll know if it's the TV or the cable. - Paul RN

well i'd say the panel died but the sound still works. If i had to guess i'd say it the power supply.Try unpluging it then leaving it for a while and plugging it back in that will fix it if it over heated but if that doesn't work you might need to get the power supply replaced. - bam431

we have directv and whenever that happens to us (which is a lot) we just turn the cable box off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on again. just make sure you're turning the cable service on and off, not the tv itself. i know it's annoying, but that seems to always fix the problem. hope it works!
