Thanks allot.
Best Answer: Read this http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/soundmagic-pl30-adjustable-bass-earphones-323413/. $20 and they blow away anything in the price range fwir. Oh, and your old V-Modas were probably better than whatever skullcandy's produced. Koss KSC75s are also great if you Kramer Mod them. If you like bass, Portapros are KSC75s with additional bass. There's also Head-Direct PK3s for $30ish. Welcome to Head-Fi! Stay a while. I see you've increased your budget by $15 on the Head-Fi thread. -
I am wearing the Skull Candy ones as we speak, and they are the best "in ear" headphones I've been able to find - I've tried 5 or 6 brands. Usually I get sore ears or a headache very quickly from "in ear" ones, but these are pretty good (I still get sore after an extended period of time, but not as quickly as with others). Whether you should get "in ear" or "over the ear" headphones depends on your preferences. "In ear" ones are lighter, more compact, great for being on the move and they keep the music in better (i.e. you don't have to worry about others hearing what you're listening to), but they can get uncomfortable, especially if you have small ears. "Over the ear" headphones are usually better sound quality and sturdier, but are a pain to use anywhere except at home. They can also be uncomfortable if the muffs are small and/or if you have large ears, or if the headband is not flexible/adjustable. - iseult6
