Power supply regulator or caps. Caps are most likely. Cheaper than power supply and the power supply is less than $120 for the part. - TV Tech 1

It may be over heating or have a bad chip in it. Akai is not one of the better brands of tv. If it's under warranty get it fixed. If not, you may want to get another brand. - amawirepuller
