tjs323 Should I sell my business projector, and buy an HD projector? - tjs323 I have an epson 77c projector that I bought last year, for around $800.00. But Ive been looking into it, and Ive decided that I want an HD projector. I was thinking of the optoma HD65. But, how much should I sell mine for? It has under 250 hours on the lamp. It is in excellent condition, and comes with a carrying case and remote. How much should I sell it for? Please at least look at the projector specs here http://www.projectorcentral.com/epson_powerlite_77c_multimedia_projector.htm before answering my question.
Best Answer: According to the specs on the website you provided, your projector is HD compatible, its native resolution is 4:3, but will accept and present a resolution at 1024x728.... Since the lower number is equal or greater than 720 it is already HD compatible. and can accept inputs up to 1080i so you are already there.....Your image maxes out at 100 inches so that maybe too small for you. Depending on how large of group you present to, a comparable DLP will get you 120% larger screen size According to ebay the item has sold in the range of $300 to $500. Certainly will help you on your way towards the next best item. Checked item history on ebay. Last 3 weeks, 20 identical items sold with average price of $294.63 with a range of $0 - 536 Hope this helps - Brad/Diana B
Used projectors aren't big sellers. You can never really know the history of the projector. Has it been looked after by the seller? Has the bulb been swapped out for one with a longer running time? Considering that the slightly superior Epson EX50 can be had for under $500 (brand new and with a warranty), you'd probably be very lucky to get more than around $200-$250 for the projector. Keep it as a spare in case something goes wrong with the new one. - michael t
