Brian M Will a Hawking Technology - Hi-Gain 802.11n Wireless-N Range Extender Give me better Xbox live connection? - Brian M
Best Answer: Better than what? You can't compare things if you list only one of the two things you're comparing. Don't forget that ultimately you connect over the Internet to get to XBox Live. Therefore, the highest speed you will achieve is dictated by that connection (which is the slowest part of your overall link.) Even the slowest 802.11b wireless connection is 10x faster than the typical broadband Internet connection. Wired connection is most reliable and fastest. 802.11n has greater range and speed, with no need for direct wired connection. 802.11g is next best technology, then 802.11b. Don't forget you can also try Powerline technology, which is wired and reliable, but it works through the power outlets (which your XBox is already near -- you power it somehow.) - Sequi
