svc host have tried to get rid of to no avail? - gummysergeant I have this svchost error which appears on bootup followed by a generic host error, then internet won't connect. I have tried through ethernet and trendnet tew-424 wireless adapter. It finds my wireless network but fails to repair at DNS thing. Please help. The specific svc host error is 0xec703654

Best Answer: remove the wireless and try and connect directly via cable without using the wireless. See if that makes a difference. Did you recently install or change any hardware? I think it is a hardware MAC address issue. That error code you give isn't right or doesn't have the right formatting to look it up, try again and post the error exactly as it appears - claratar
