Question and Answers

I got a new macbook and want to use my existing printer--a canon imageclass d680. I can't find Mac drivers.? -
Best Answer: Ok, I did a little research on your question, and it appears there is no Mac OS driver available for your product. If that's the case your only option are the GIMP drivers and in my experience they are not worth the effort on late model Canon printers. Looks like a new printer with dedicated Mac drivers will be an easier route. You might find more on the mac forums: http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=36053 - Jay
There is no Mac driver available for it, nor with there ever be. It is an older Printer that Cannon does not plan to write Mac drivers for. If you got it new, it has been on the shelves for awhile, the printer was released a couple years ago. It is not Mac compatible. All of their newer printers have Mac drivers. - korgrue
I thought macs could just "talk to the printer". Everything is supposed to "just work" isn't it? In all seriousness, though, go to canon's site and grab the drivers from there. - Mike R
