Laptop to HDTV, using wireless N router? - Hi I have Samsung LCD HDTV( LA46A650), Belkin wireless N router and HP dv9507tx laptop with HDMI out. I want to use my HDTV as a monitor for my laptop. I know to how to and have done it by connecting via HDMI cable. Now that I have got a Wireless N router, can anyone suggest me a way to achieve the same wireless way. What accessories do I need to establish this? Additional info: I have Onkyo reciever 606 whose HDMI out is given to HDTV's input. I have two HDMI inputs to the Receiver one from PS3 and another from philips upscaling DVD player. I am looking for a receiver which can receive the display data from my laptop via Wireless N router and has an HDMI out that can be given to my onkyo receiver's input. I am from India . So please suggest solutions available in India for this.

Best Answer: You are really looking for a wireless video extender. Very expensive. Even the wired ones, using CAT5, are a couple of hundred dollars - mainly because of the HDTV high def. requirements. High def. tv takes tons of bandwidth. Your existing router won't really do it, because you cannot really feed video into it. You have to have a video input device, and then send it wirelessly to the TV, where you would have another wireless receiver with the HDMI connection. - Adrian

You need a media receiver for the HDMI port on the TV. Many brands, many choices but you can do it without wires. HP makes a Mediasmart series of TV we use in my house that allows just about anything to be streamed to the TV. Youtube to Blu-Ray. - MJL

You would need a wireless HDMI. These are pretty expensive. The cheapest one I know costs 716 US dollars, which equals 34747 Indian rupees.
