usb port doesnt work? - i got a wireless mouse and it works fine in the one usb port that i have but i need to be able to plug in more items so i got a usb port hub (iogear) and when i plug it into the working usb port neither my mouse nor my thumb drive work through it. i thought i got a bad hub so i bought another one (offspring) and the same thing. the usb port works fine but the stuff i plug into it does not work through it. when i plug in either hub the lights on the hubs come on. when i plug the wireless mouse into either port the light on the mouse flickers for a second or two and then goes out. wont work.

Best Answer: The wireless receivers for keyboards and mice often won't work when plugged into a hub, but I don't know why the thumbdrive wouldn't work. Perhaps the hub can't supply enough power? -
